Biography
Rajeev Khandelwal in his school life at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jaipur
The
very popular ex-television actor now a Bollywood sensation Rajeev
Khandelwal born in Delhi has won millions of hearts after his romantic
and intense portrayal as Sujal in the hugely popular Balaji romantic
entertainer `Kahiin To Hoga`. He sweeps you off your feet with his
million-dollar smile, innocent eyes and "ready to take home to mummy"
image. Rajeev Khandelwal certainly ruled television and became the new
teenage sensation of the small screen. He may be known today as one of
the most popular and talented actor on the block but Rajeev Khandelwal
did not come to the tinsel town with the dreams of becoming an actor but
his passion for acting and his great screen presence made him one of
the most popular actors of the small screen. His debut movie "Aamir" has
proved that Rajeev is here to stay...This cool and composed, super
talented actor will make it really make big in Bollywood and will make
others run for their money.
He
was a Chemistry graduate from St Xavier’s College, Ahmadabad he joined
Engineering but he quit within two months and joined Xaviers in
Ahmedabad to do his degree in Chemistry. He found Engineering too boring
and also he wanted to do something where he could get time to take part
in co-curricular activities. He wanted to stay in something where he
could do something creative. He was brought up in an army background. He
started his career on television as a production assistant but soon
after began writing and directing documentary films. Till date, he has
written about 30 documentaries on various subjects which aired on
Doordarshan channel. He also directed documentary dramas.
Following
that while he shifted to Mumbai to sell one of his documentaries and he
was selected to model for few commercials and then indulged in
endorsing popular brands like LML bikes, Gilbey’s Green Label Whiskey,
Kodak Express and Videocon refrigerators. He badly needed the money to
recover the losses that he had incurred once while making of a pilot and
his advertisement assignments were quite a boon, but they still had not
wiped away the entire deficit.
Then
he was selected to play a role in `Kya Hadsa Kya Haqeeqat` but still
managed to keep a low profile because he had shot for the initial
thriller episodes, which was a part of the inaugural series.
Though
it was not a hit he was enriched with a great experience and shared the
frame with some great television artistes like Rohini Hattangadi and
Smriti Malhotra. Soon after Rajeev Khandelwal began to be showered with
offers but he had already signed `Kahiin To Hoga` by then and through
this serial he catapulted to fame.
On
small screen Rajeev has played many roles such as the lover boy Sujal
Garewal in `Kahiin Toh Hoga`, ACP Prithviraj in ‘CID’, Varun Awasthi,
the raw Intelligence Officer in `Time Bomb`, Captain Rajveer Singh
Shikhawat in ‘Left Right Left’ and has hosted `Deal Ya No Deal`.
This
chocolate boy can certainly make girls faint by his magnificent
presence and definitely ruled the Indian Television with his superb
acting skills, which has been well complemented by his good looks.
Having won numerous accolades for his performances, Rajeev Khandelwal
was a huge asset to the Indian Television Industry and now Bollywood's.
His dream role is that of Amitabh Bachchan in the Bollywood chartbuster ‘Shakti’. His motto is to believe in himself and sky is the limit. This actor also does not at all believe in formal training because for him acting is an intrinsic art, which cannot be ingrained in an individual in these classes. He also does not watch any serial because he would have started imitating someone if he did. It is quite a natural thing to happen and at some point of time or the other one is bound to get influenced by each other, no matter how hard one tries to avoid it. He also does not want to copy any actor, howsoever successful he may be. This is where his motto of believing in himself holds true.

Besides
the script and the character the director is also very important to
him. He also desires that the director would help him to get into the
skin of the character and also has to keep a close eye on him in the
initial stages of the show and correct his flaws as per the character
demands. However he does not believe that the director has to enact the
scenes for him or else he would not be able to improvise. On the
personal front he is a very happy and contented soul and believes that
the most important thing, which draws him towards any woman, is her
sensuality. It is an obvious expectation that this gifted actor will go a
long way in the coming times because of his huge determination and
great acting capabilities.
After
his super hit debut movie "Aamir", Rajeev is concentrating on his next
venture "Peter Gaya Kaam Se" opposite new comer Lekha Wasington. Rajeev
is dating Manjiri Kamtikar works for an ad agency. Both are extremely
serious about each other and in all probability, will make their
relationship official soon.

Kahiin To Hoga
is a story of five sisters:Kashish,Mouli, Mahek, Charu and Kanan. They
are like the five fingers of a hand — each different from the other yet
connected by the same middle-class values.
On
her birthday when her car accidentally hits Sujal's car, Kashish runs
away but is scared to tell the police about it. Her father tells her to
go to the police and confess that her car crashed into someone's. She
does this. Still clueless that it was Sujal's car, Kashish goes for a
job interview to Sujal's office. She takes for granted that she would
not get the job. Kashish gets the job anyway but is nervous.
In
the course of time Kashish and Sujal fall in love. To express her love
Kashish writes a love letter to Sujal but she doesn't put any name on
the letter leaving it on Sujal's desk. Rishi (Sujal's spoilt younger
brother) comes into Sujal's office and sees the letter. He deliberately
puts Piyush's (Sujal's best friend) name on it. Sujal sees the letter
with Piyush's name on it and assumes that Kashish was cheating on him.
He goes into depression. It is only on her engagement day that Kashish
finds Piyush there instead of Sujal. She decides to stay quiet to
prevent embarrassment and humiliation of her family. Varun (Piyush's
younger brother) urges Sujal to find out if Kashish really cheated on
him or whether someone else tried to create misunderstandings between
them. Sujal finds out on Kashish's wedding day that Kashish is innocent.
He begs her to run away with him but Kashish stays for the sake of her
family and ends up married to Piyush.Sujal later on is made to believe
that Piyush created misunderstandings between him and Kashish. This is
the beginning of a serious misunderstanding between Sujal and Kashish
and Sujal and Piyush and from here Kashish's life takes a new turn. She
follows the path that is to be her destiny and comes to question all the
beliefs she ever stood for. This triangular, fatal love story of
Kashish-Sujal-Piyush also involves and affects the lives of the other
four sisters.
Kashish,
over the course of time, comes to love Piyush. Sujal tries to create a
lot of misunderstandings between Kashish and Piyush. He also tries to
defeat Piyush in his attempt to win Kashish, but this only brings
Kashish and Piyush closer to each other. (Even though Sujal may be seen
as the antagonist, he actually became one of the most loved characters
of the series.) Sujal is humiliated again and again. No one believes him
any more and he is kicked out of the house. He vows to ruin Piyush's
company and leaves the house with nothing. He meets Archie's father who
gives him an offer - if Sujal marries Archie her father will give him
all his business. Sujal agrees thinking it to be a good idea to ruin
Piyush professionally and to make Kashish jealous.
In
comes a character who is Piyush's employee. She helps Piyush get an
important contract and becomes close to Piyush. Kashish is shown some
evidence to make her believe that Piyush is cheating on her but Kashish
believes Piyush who tells her he is innocent. As Piyush's employee is
leaving she blames everything on Sujal saying that he paid her to create
a rift between Piyush and Kashish.
Eventually,
Sujal decides not to interfere in Kashish and Piyush's life. But
suddenly Piyush dies in a car accident. With time it is revealed that
Piyush didn't actually die in an accident but that the entire thing was
planned from before. It is later revealed much later that Archie wanted
to kill Kashish but it turned out Kashish wasn't in the car and Piyush
was killed instead. That's why Sujal doesn't marry Archie.
After
a few months Akshat, Kashish's school friend enters the lives of the
five sisters. He joins Sujal's firm as a lawyer. Akshat finds out that
Sujal and Kashish loved each other so with the help of Charu (one of
Kashish's four sisters), he tries to unite them. One of the sisters,
Mahek, who was pregnant with Rishi's child, finally reciprocates Varun's
love for her. With the help of Sujal the two are married.
Kashish
marries Sujal to seek revenge because she thinks Sujal killed Piyush.
She even sends him to jail but finally realises Sujal is innocent and
their love for each other is rekindled. Sujalthen gets into an accident
where he is bashed up by goons and he falls into a waterfall which
causes memory loss and plastic surgery. He returns as Tushar. Tushar
falls in love with Kashish not knowing that it is his wife. Kashish also
falls in love with the character of Tushar, but denies her feelings.
Charu loves Tushar and not knowing that it is Sujal, Kashish gets Charu
and Tushar married. Kashish soon realizes that Tushar is Sujal, but
tells him to stay married to Charu. Mouli (Kashish's sister) and
Siddharth (Mr.Ahulwalia's son) soon get married, and Mouli, later on,
gets pregnant. Charu is killed under mysterious circumstances. Kashish
marries Mr. Ahluwalia to find Charu's killer. Sujal seeks revenge from
Kashish, because she didn't keep her promise of marrying him. So he
pretends to romance Gayatri, Mr. Ahluwalia's daughter. Kashish gets
jealous, although she knows what Sujal is doing is only to seek revenge
from her. Mr. Ahluwalia is soon killed and so is Kashish's father. Later
on Varun starts loving Mr. Ahluwalia's daughter and he divorces Mahek.
After a few days Rishi and Mahek marry and they fall in love again.
A
new character, Abhishek Chauhan, enters the lives of Kashish and Sujal.
He looks exactly like Piyush but is widowed and has a daughter, Sneha.
Rishi and Swayam have a fight in which Rishi dies and Sujal gets the
blame. Kashish tries to save Sujal by marrying Abhishek but Abhishek
realises the sacrifice Kashish is making and gets Sujal and Kashish
married instead. Swayam kidnaps Mahek's baby (who she had named Rishi)
and tries to murder him to seek revenge but his entire plan is ruined
and Mehek shoots him just in time to save her baby.Kashish finds the
murderer of Charu, Mr. Ahluwalia, and her father. It's Siddharth. When
Mouli learns that the father of her unborn baby is a murderer, she kills
him. Sujal finds out Kashish's marriage was fake. They get back
together and live happily ever after. After a few years Sujal and
Kashish are happily married. Abhishek and Mahek, too, are shown happily
married with their kids Sneha and Rishi. In the last episode Kashish and
Sujal are shown telling their children their lovestroy and the rest of
the family listening, with old memories coming back to them.

Original run June 20, 2005 – December 25, 2006
"Time Bomb 9/11" or just "Time Bomb" was a Hindi political thriller that aired on Zee TV from June 20, 2005 to December 25, 2005. It used to air every Monday at 10:00pm, and the show had a similar format to "24". The story focuses on Osama Bin Laden and his terrorist group aiming to destroy the city of New Delhi on September 11 as well as assassinating the Indian Prime Minister who was played by Kay Kay Menon. A RAW group led by Field Officer Varun Awasthi (played by Rajeev Khandelwal) has to protect the Prime Minister and more importantly, the city.
Time
Bomb is an international political thriller of global terror with its
epicenter in South Asia. Although very realistic and contemporary in its
details, this story is set in the near future. New Delhi: MidnightOur
protagonist Varun is a special agent of an exclusive, secret,
multi-disciplinary intelligence agency created under the PMO to deal
with terrorism and related matters known to the very few as - A.C.T. –
Agency to Counter TerrorismThe young and dynamic Prime Minister of
India, Aniruddha Prakash, is woken up from his sleep. Varun is waiting
to inform him about an imminent crisis:As per the latest intelligence
report there is reason to believe that there will be an assassination
attempt on the Prime minister of India anytime soon…could be today.Varun
requests the Prime minister to cancel all his appointments and
engagements for the day.The PM rejects the request. India will not
succumb to terrorists’ threats. The Prime minister will stick to his
programme. Then Varun gets a informer’s message which shakes him up
further: The terrorist has planned to commemorate the attack on the
World Trade Center and The Pentagon, and is planning a terrorists act
much grander in scale. He wants to create simultaneous chaos across the
globe. He is promising “a change in the World Order”.This creates
additional pressures for the security agencies. They have to protect the
Prime minister of India from the unknown assassins, simultaneously they
have to try and stop the terrorists from carrying out their plans to
destabilize the world.Varun soon realizes that the plot to assassinate
the Prime Minister is only a distraction ploy to keep the intelligence
agencies busy. He realizes that the actual plan of the terrorist was to
simultaneously explode nuclear devices in Washington, London, Tel-Aviv
and New Delhi. These explosions will destroy the four capital cities,
and the entire global power structure will collapse.Despite the
political tangles, bureaucratic hiccups, inter-departmental rivalries
and personality clashes, the Indian intelligence agencies rise
courageously, race against time to meet the challenge and backup Varun
and the Special Operations Cell to over come the crisis and stop the
terrorists from detonating the bombWoven along with this edge of the
seat thriller are the personal lives of the main characters with their
individual crisis and emotional traumas. The lives of all those who come
in contact with this whirlwind change forever as if the terror in the
world outside is unleashing the terror within.

Deal Ya No Deal
Deal Ya No Deal is the Hindi version of Deal or No Deal. It is based on the International Format Deal or No Deal owned and produced by ayesha International.
It
premiered on November 23, 2005 on Sony Entertainment Television and
aired on three nights each week. The first series had a set similar to
the UK version, and the theme song and music cues were the same as those used in the Dutch version. Contestants held the cases. There is a top prize of 10,000,000 rupees (about $255,000 USD), and the lowest prize was originally a breath freshener, called a Chlormint,
but the lowest prize was later 25 paise (a paisa is the Indian
counterpart to a cent/penny), although the Chlormint would remain as a
prize throughout the entire series. It was hosted by Madhavan, but he quit after fulfilling his 35-episode contract, and was replaced by Mandira Bedi.
The
second series premiered in late January 2006 and had a set virtually
identical to the Australian version, except there were 22 briefcases. In
this series, when the contestant picked a case, the contestant that
held the case could guess the amount in it. If they guessed correctly,
they would win Rs. 50,000.
After
the second series, Mandira Bedi quit, citing time constraints as the
reason for her departure. The third series, which premiered in April
2006, has a new host, Rajeev Khandelwal, and airs once weekly. The third series features a new set and new graphics that are virtually identical to those used on the US show.
Even though it was a lot similar to the US version, the third series
did not have any games that carried over and did not show previous
offers when it was time for the offer. Models were also introduced to
hold the briefcases, instead of the contestants in series 1 and 2. In
this series, once Rajeev, the host, calls out the name of the
contestant, he asks them a question with 2 possible answers. If they
give the correct answer, they will get to play. At the end of most
episodes of series 3, Rajeev ended by saying, "Keep Smiling!" This
version ended in July 2006, as it was believed viewers couldn't connect
with the concept.
Trivia
- The show was referenced on the second-to-last episode of the American version's second season, when a contestant from India was playing (it was referenced only a second before the contestant's family surprised him). Unfortunately, the contestant only left with $100 (or about 4,000 rupees).
- The last banker's offer of the episode aired on June 2, 2006 was 35 paise, which was very likely the lowest offer ever, with the lowest two values in play (25 paise and Chlormint). The contestant refused the offer and revealed Chlormint in his case.
About CID
The
series consists of hard-core police procedural stories dealing with
investigation, detection and suspense. The protagonists of the serial
are an elite group of police officers belonging to the Crime
Investigation Department of the police force, led by ACP Pradyuman
(played by the dynamic Shivaji Satam). While the stories are plausible,
there is an emphasis on dramatic plotting and technical complexities
faced by the police. At every stage, the plot throws up intriguing
twists and turns keeping the officers on the move as they track
criminals, led by the smallest of clues!!!

'Sach
Ka Samna' has been adapted from an internationally acclaimed show
called Moment of Truth, which also has a huge fan following in India.
From nail biting anxiety to answers that will almost have you fall off
your chairs, the show has kept the bout of anxiety high with each
contestant. While the Hindi version will be hard hitting as contestants
boldly share their bitter truths, the show has been crafted keeping in
mind the Indian sensibilities. Taking the contestants through this
assertive roller coaster ride, the suave and sensitive Rajeev
Khandelwal, encourages contestants to keep their calm while supporting
them through their emotional journey. At the end, the game rewards
honesty by testing the nerve, resilience and integrity of a contestant.
The show is an attempt to bring about a positive change by helping the
contestants shed their baggage and lead a significantly better life.
Actor
Rajeev Khandelwal may have defended his show Sach Ka Saamna as a “tool
of truth”, but his mother believes that the popular TV programme often
crosses the lines of societal propriety.
The
contents of the show which delves into the personal and sexual
histories of contestants has been described as degrading to “Indian
culture” by parliamentarians and social activists and Khandelwal’s
mother in Jaipur has echoed similar sentiments.
“The
format is interesting, but sometimes I think it is best not to probe
into certain aspects of a person’s life for the sake of the society and
their families,” the host’s mother Vijayalaxmi Khandelwal, said.
While
Khandelwal’s mother said that she would never want to be on the hot
seat in front of her son, his father a retired member of the Indian Army
said that he will gladly become a participant on the controversial
show.
“I
would reveal all truth about my life, except the secrets of the Army if
given a chance to be part of the show,” said his father C.L.Khandelwal.
Khandelwal’s
father also came down heavily on the politicians who had raised
objections against the show, which had become the centre of a raging
debate in Parliament.
Format
The show is based on the same format as The Moment of Truth. The format is owned by Howard Schultz of Lighthearted Entertainment.
Prior
to appearing on the actual show, contestants are asked 50 questions
while being hooked up to a polygraph machine. The biological indicators
of the contestant, such as pulse rate, blood pressure, etc. are measured
and used by the polygraph to decide whether the answer is true or not.
The contestant is not aware of the results of the polygraph for his or
her answers.
During
the actual show, the contestant is asked 21 of the same questions
again. If the contestant answers honestly, he or she moves on to the
next question; however, should a contestant lie in his or her answer, or
simply refuse to answer a question after it has been asked, the game
ends and the contestant loses all their prize money.
There
are six levels of prize money in the game. The first level consists of
six questions, and answering all of them truthfully will win the
contestant Rs. 100,000 of prize money. The next level has five questions
and the prize money goes up to Rs. 500,000. The third, fourth and fifth
levels consist of four, three and two questions respectively, with the
prize money being Rs. 1,000,000, Rs. 2,500,000 and Rs. 5,000,000
respectively. The final level has only one question, with the truthful
answer fetching the maximum prize money of Rs. 10,000,000 (one crore).
The
questions become increasingly personal and potentially embarrassing in
nature as the stakes get higher. The contestants are usually accompanied
by close family members or friends, who are seated beside them and the
host. Several of the questions tend to be related to the relationship
between them and their acquaintances present there. Next to the guests
is a buzzer, which they can use to override a question which they feel
is better left unanswered. In that case, the contestant will be asked an
alternate question which may be easier or tougher than the question it
replaced. The buzzer can only be used once during the game.
The
series requires contestants to sign an agreement that they will accept
the conclusions drawn by the polygraph examiner. The polygraph test is
done by Herb Irvine, a US-based polygraph expert.
Contestants
The
first season of the show featured some well-known personalities like
veteran actors Yusuf Hussain and Rupa Ganguly, former cricketer Vinod
Kambli, television actors Raja Chaudhary and Urvashi Dholakia, actor and
well known model Vimarsh Roshan, as well as transsexuals Bobby Darling
and Laxmi Narayan Tripathi. There are also some non-celebrity
contestants, such as Smita Mathai, who was the show's first participant.
About Sun Leyna
Many Pakistani Producers are signing Indian actors for their serials.Actor
and Producer Humayun Saeed first made a serial called 'Ana'with Aamna
Shariff and now Sun Leyna. Many other Producers are making serials with
Indian
actors but Humayun Saeed comes up with something very challenging
leaving behind others.Sun Leyna's 75% shooting has been done in
Malayasia
Sun Leyna is basically about a women who in luvv runs from her house
and gets married, and then because of her,her whole family has to face
humiliation and hardships. It's about those women who because of their
love
dont care about their family's reputation. But apart from getting
married on their own they have to face troubles and soo does their
families. Sun Leyna revolves around Mrs.Daniyal and her children.
She
rejects a man whom her parents had chosen just because he was poor and
one of his leg did not work, and when her parents force her to get
married to him she runs from her house and gets married to a rich man
not only because she loves him but because he can provide her a
luxurious life which the man chosen by his parents couldn’t.
She did not remember her parents, their reputation and her younger sister Madiha before marrying and running from the house.
From Safiyah when she turns Mrs.Daniyal she realises that what she did
was
wrong because she wasnt actually happy. Her mother gets mad because of
the sadma. Safiyah now cannot even go back soo she accepts to live a
life worse then hell as Mrs.Daniyal.Despite having fights and all with

old.Aamna gave a party after 'Anaz' success soo we met over there and

serials or not but i used to get a lot of calls, emails and letters from
my Pakistani fans soo did this serial for them.I hope they liked my
perfromance.I've also heard that Lahore and Karachi people are very
welcoming soo i personally want to visit Karachi and Lahore. And working

'Ana'. But my role in Sun Leyna can be proved more lucky for me as i
have the lead role in it,and i wish to not only work with Humayun Saeed
